A total of 106 individuals provided input from across all buildings, with 22 from Building 1200, 19 from Building 1201, 19 from Building 1300, 19 from Building 1301, and 27 from Building 1400. That represents about 34% of the units at BYL. As an aside, that iscomparable to voter turnout for off-year elections for city council. The responses provide a good cross-section of BYL residents.

The findings from the survey are being used first by the Landscape Committee to develop alternative landscape plans for the patio kiln area. The findings will also be used by the Board of Directors as they discuss the alternatives and eventually determine a final landscape plan. This open and democratic process will result in a plan for the completion of the patio kiln area that will provide years of enjoyment to all BYL’s residents.

The timeline for completing this process is a little fluid because we don’t know how long it will take the Board to settle on and approve a plan. We are hopeful that the decision will occur by the end of September, with construction beginning shortly thereafter.
